The XM1171/XM1172 Long Range Precision Guidance Kit (LR-PGK) is a development effort to modernize course correcting fuze capabilities, compatibility with GPS upgrades, new projectiles, and future extended range weapon platforms. It will also be backwards compatible with current HE projectiles and 155mm weapon platforms.
